Why do I need an on-site security assessment?

Lab106 vulnerability assessments are a great alternative for any company or organization that would like to have a periodic overview of the security of their ICT environment. And if there are no funds, time or resources allocated within the organization to scan the IT network with a normal Outscan^®/ HIAB^® subscription.

OUTSCAN^® and HIAB^® are automated tools based on yearly licenses. Lab106 also offers on-site vulnerability scanning assessments. For these assessments no licenses are needed. Multiple times a year a Lab106 consultant will be on-site bringing along a portable HIAB^® scanning engine to scan the client's internal network (Servers and most business critical network components). The duration of the assessment depends on the size of the client's network. The maximum amount of IP adresses that can be scanned per day is about 40. Technical reporting will be made available to the client in PDF and hard copy. On top of the technical reporting it's possible to receive a (confidential, personalized) hand written 'Executive Report'. This 'Executive Report' is an overview and interpretation of the found vulnerabilities. All found 'high' and 'medium' risks are carefully examined, false positives eliminated and recommendations based on these verified risks are made.

How does it work?
The scope of the assessment is discussed/defined together with the customer (e.g. which 'targets' -servers, clients, network components/devices, routers & printers- will be scanned, when will the assessment take place etc.). All results will be discussed and analysed with the client and Lab106 consultant. After the assessment, Off-Site Technical Support by Lab106 will be available. The possibility is there to request for a hand written 'Executive Report' based on the findings of the consultant on-site.
